MegaFon, one of Russia’s largest operators, has chosen Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) to develop a new nationwide transport network. As part of the 3-year contract, Ericsson will supply mobile transport solutions based on the MINI-LINK platform offering key advantages such as high capacity, efficient use of spectrum, low-energy consumption and simplified operations and maintenance.

Chengdu, China, Sept. 03, 2019 -- China Mobile in Sichuan province and Huawei today launched a multi-dimensional 5G network in Chengdu, aimed at transforming the city into one of the world’s foremost hi-tech cities. The call was conducted over 3.6GHz spectrum using Ericsson’s Baseband 6630, Radio AIR6488 and a 5G SA device based on a MediaTek chipset.

In this auction, T-Mobile Austria acquired 110 MHz of spectrum throughout the country (11 packages of 10 MHz each in 12 regions), for a total price of €57 million.
