Overview

Vietnam (Việt Nam), officially the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, is the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. The country is bordered by China to the north, Laos to the northwest, and Cambodia to the southwest.

Vietnam is a member of the ITU and as such follows radio frequency harmonisation principles according to ITU-R Region-3. The regulatory body governing communications policy is the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), and the Viet Nam Telecommunications Authority (VNTA) is charged with regulating the country's radio frequency spectrum activities such as planning, allocations, and licencing.
