Today, at the 4G-tender, the operator lifecell purchased 2*15 MHz in the 2600 MHz band for the development of its own 4G-network. According to the results of the bid winning, the company will pay 909 250 000 UAH to the state treasury for the first two lots.

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission has decided to be liberal with the mobile phone operators and declare all of the five applicants eligible for the fourth generation licences.

A team of the commission has already evaluated the applications for the licence and spectrum auction, said Md Jahurul Haque, legal and licencing commissioner of the BTRC.

Mollazade said that Israel’s Telrad Networks company is the equipment supplier, the contract with which was signed this autumn.
