EE, part of BT Group, today unveiled a new 4G home broadband solution which could connect 580,000 homes across the UK, especially those in rural areas that are currently only able to access broadband slower than 10Mbps. The service will provide customers with superfast broadband speeds at home using the power of EE’s 4G network.

BUENOS AIRES, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Argentina telecommunications provider Telecom Argentina said on Wednesday it would invest $5 billion in the country through 2020 to expand its network and improve infrastructure.

In February, Tele2 completes software upgrades at all broadcasting stations, resulting in the highest mobile internet download speeds in the whole of Estonia rising to 485 megabits per second.

The ongoing digitalization of our society is already changing many processes in business and private life are already changing. The most important requirement is that digitization must be simple, usable everywhere and secure. Modern technologies and network infrastructures from Deutsche Telekom help to network machines, cars and countless other things on the Internet of Things (IoT).

The 5G network is the new generation of mobile internet connection networks that is beginning to develop in the world and whose first real applications in the field of communications will be the month next during the celebration of the Olympic Winter Games, to be held in the city of Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Algar Telecom combined the 700 MHz and 1800 MHz bands to activate LTE-A in Uberlândia, city of Minas Gerais. The company promised speeds three times higher than those offered with traditional 4G although it recognized that the real speed will depend on factors such as the proximity of the antennas and the number of people connected to the same site, among others.

EE, the UK’s largest mobile network operator and part of the BT Group, is upgrading more sites by converting 2G airwaves into superfast 4G speeds to drive the fastest mobile data speeds and most reliable voice service from the latest smartphones. The move furthers EE’s position as the number one network for smartphones in the UK.

SANTIAGO, June 29, 2017.- Nokia and Movistar Chile today held the first demonstration of 4.5G Pro in Latin America, reaching a speed of 1Gbps.

[Brasilia, Brazil, June 26, 2017] Recently, Claro Brazil launched the commercial 4.5G (4x4 MIMO+ Massive CA+256QAM) network in Brasilia in partnership with Huawei. The 4.5G network is the first network intended for commercial use in Brazil, and is expected to be the largest in the Latin America Region.

Vodafone UK has selected Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) to evolve its 4G networks in London and southern England using technologies such as Massive MIMO and Carrier Aggregation, which will help deliver improved capacity and end-user performance.

Brazilian operator Algar Telecom completed the refarming of the band from 1800 MHz to 4G, an idea that had been formalized by the end of 2015 . The 10 MHz previously saved for 2G were compressed at 5 MHz and the other half was used for LTE.

WND, the Latin American operator of Sigfox technology, begins the commercial operation of its IoT network in free frequency in August, with coverage of 50% of the population.

Tallinn, Estonia, May 18, 2017 — Connected Baltics OÜ, the exclusive Sigfox operator has started providing Internet of Things (IoT) network services in Estonia. The service is now available in most dense areas covering more than half of the Estonian population. The remaining low-dense areas will be covered later this year.

The results of the first quarter of 2017 confirm the validity of the transformation actions started by the management, which have brought significant recovery on the domestic market and in Brazil.

TIM, the leader in 4G coverage in the country, is the first operator in Brazil to use the frequency of 2600 MHz and refarm the 1800 MHz frequency band to 4G LTE. TIM is now ready to make the move to future-proofing its network using the 700 MHz spectrum band, which enables excellent indoor and rural area coverage for 4G-enabled devices.

Algar Telecom plans to invest in 4G, launching the first city with 700 MHz in addition to Rio Verde (GO) and performing the refarming of the 1.8 GHz band to offer 4G. Like other operators (TIM, Claro and Vivo), tele intends to take advantage of the natural migration from GSM to 3G base, which helps to reuse the band for LTE. According to the director of operations and technology, Luiz Antônio A
