Colombia

Overview

Colombia, officially the Republic of Colombia, is a sovereign state largely situated in the northwest of South America, with territories in Central America. Colombia shares a border to the northwest with Panama, to the east with Venezuela and Brazil and to the south with Ecuador and Peru.

Colombia is a member of the ITU and as such follows radio frequency harmonisation principles according to ITU-R Region-2. The regulatory body governing communications policy is the Comisión de Regulación de Comunicaciones (CRC), and the Agencia Nacional del Espectro (ANE) is charged with regulating the country's radio frequency spectrum activities such as planning, allocations, and licencing.
