Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) and C&W Communications (C&W), have successfully completed a Gigabit LTE trial in Antigua and Barbuda and started testing a pre-5G network, under C&W’s residential brand Flow. C&W is part of the Liberty Global group, one of the world’s largest broadband and internet service providers.

At the 33rd CANTO Annual Conference & Trade Exhibition, John Reid, CEO of C&W Communications (C&W), announced that C&W has completed a groundbreaking pre-5G (fifth generation wireless broadband technology) trial in Antigua. Once installed, Antigua will be the first country in the region with the most advanced pre-5G network, delivering download peak speeds of up to 800 Mbps.

Vodafone UK has selected Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) to evolve its 4G networks in London and southern England using technologies such as Massive MIMO and Carrier Aggregation, which will help deliver improved capacity and end-user performance.

Tallinn, Estonia, May 18, 2017 — Connected Baltics OÜ, the exclusive Sigfox operator has started providing Internet of Things (IoT) network services in Estonia. The service is now available in most dense areas covering more than half of the Estonian population. The remaining low-dense areas will be covered later this year.

Progresif Cellular announced today that they have submitted an official request to start a trial of their 4G network.

The application was filed with the Authority for Info-Communications Technology Industry (AITI) which kicks off a process, that subject to AITI approval, could bring Progresif’s first 4G cell sites online within the next three months.
