Overview

Fiji (Viti), officially the Republic of Fijiis an island country in Melanesia in the South Pacific Ocean about 2,000 km northeast of New Zealand's North Island. Fiji is an archipelago of more than 330 islands, of which 110 are permanently inhabited, and more than 500 islets.

Fiji is a member of the ITU and as such follows radio frequency harmonisation principles according to ITU-R Region-3. The regulatory body governing communications policy is the Attorney-General's Chambers who is also charged with regulating the country's radio frequency spectrum activities such as planning, allocations, and licencing.
