Overview
Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory in the North Atlantic Ocean. It is approximately 1,070 km east-southeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina; 1,236 km south of Cape Sable Island, Nova Scotia; and 1,578 km north of Puerto Rico.
Bermuda is not a member of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), however as an overseas territory falls under governance of the UK who is. Bermuda follows radio frequency harmonisation principles according to ITU-R Region-2. The regulatory body governing communications policy is the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), and the Regulatory Authority of Bermuda is charged with regulating the region's radio frequency spectrum activities such as planning, allocations, and licencing.
