The company was launched in December 2015 following Autorite Nationale de Regulation des TIC provided the company an operating licence in October that year. Telecom Malagasy operates as a subsidiary of its Madagascan parent by the same name; a company resulting from a Consortium composed of AXIAN Group, TELMA Mobile, SOFIMA, and NJJ Capital.
TELMA COMORES is a major telecommunication operator in the comores. It seeks to make the digital revolution accessible to all in the country by bringing the very best technological innovations at an affordable price.
The company has provided 2G GSM services over the 900 MHz band, 3G UMTS over B8 (900 MHz), and B20 (800 MHz) 4G LTE services since inception.
