China Unicom and Huawei have jointly constructed the 5G field experiment base and completed the 5G deployments in the high and low frequency bands, the former announced officially recently.
It is said to be the first 5G dual frequency test scene (in the 3.5 GHz and 1.8 GHz band), of which the single-user rate hit 5 Gbps in the 3.5 GHz band with a bandwidth of 200 MHz, while the single user peak rate reached 20 Gbps with 5G high & low frequency dual connection networking.
China Unicom will carry out verification on a series of 5G technical solutions including coverage, mobility, high and low frequency convergence and uplink spectrum sharing in the future.
