The state telecommunications company TurkmenTelecom has suspended the provision of international and long-distance zonal communication and Internet access services to CBS MTS-Turkmenistan on 29.09 from 00.00, therefore, MTS-Turkmenistan has no technical capability to provide mobile communication services to subscribers of the network and to subscribers who are in the roaming.
“MTS ... is currently negotiating with the Turkmenistan regulatory authorities in order to obtain permission to use frequencies, as well as to obtain other resources, necessary to provide telecommunication services,” MTS said in a statement.
