Overview
Venezuela, officially the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, is a federal republic located on the northern coast of South America. It is bordered by Colombia on the west, Brazil on the south, and Guyana on the east.
Venezuela is a member of the ITU and as such follows radio frequency harmonisation principles according to ITU-R Region-2. The regulatory body governing communications policy is the Ministerio del Poder Popular para Educación Universitaria, Ciencia y Tecnología (MPPEUCT), and the Comisión Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CONATEL) is charged with regulating the country's radio frequency spectrum activities such as planning, allocations, and licencing.
