Overview

Uzbekistan is a landlocked country in Central Asia. Kazakhstan borders it to the north and west, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan to the south, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to the east. Uzbekistan is divided into twelve provinces, one autonomous republic (Qoraqalpogʻiston Muxtor Respublikasi), and one independent city (Toshkent).

Uzbekistan is a member of the ITU and as such follows radio frequency harmonisation principles according to ITU-R Region-1. Communications and Information Agency of Uzbekistan is the Coordinating Administration Body, authorised to problem solve and carry out the state policy in sphere of communication, information, and using the radio-frequency spectrum.
