Overview

The United States Virgin Islands (USVI), officially the Virgin Islands of the United States, is a group of islands in the Caribbean that is an insular area of the United States located 64 km east of Puerto Rico. The islands are geographically part of the Virgin Islands archipelago and are located in the Leeward Islands of the Lesser Antilles.

United States Virgin Islands is a constituent region of the United States, and as such follows radio frequency harmonisation principles according to ITU-R Region-2. The regulatory body governing communications policy is the International Communications and Information Policy (CIP), and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is charged with regulating the country's radio frequency spectrum activities such as planning, allocations, and licencing.
