Overview
Micronesia, officially the Federated States of Micronesia, is an independent republic associated with the United States comprising approximately 607 small islands in the western Pacific Ocean. There are four main states along with numerous outlying islands.
Micronesia is a member of the ITU and as such follows radio frequency harmonisation principles according to ITU-R Region-3. The regulatory body governing communications policy is the Government of the Federated States of Micronesia, and the FSM Division of Communications is charged with regulating the country's radio frequency spectrum activities such as planning, allocations, and licencing.
