Overview
India, officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. The country shares land borders with Pakistan to the west; China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the northeast; and Myanmar (Burma) and Bangladesh to the east.
India is a member of the ITU and as such follows radio frequency harmonisation principles according to ITU-R Region-3. The regulatory body governing communications policy is the Ministry of Communications, and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is charged with regulating the country's radio frequency spectrum activities such as planning, allocations, and licencing.
