Overview

Curaçao is a Lesser Antilles island country in the southern Caribbean Sea and the Dutch Caribbean region, about 65 km north of the Venezuelan coast. It is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Curaçao is not a member of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) however falls under management of the Netherlands who are. Curaçao voluntarily follows radio frequency harmonisation principles according to ITU-R Region-2. The regulatory body governing communications policy is the Radiocommunication Agency Netherlands, and the Bureau Telecommunicatie en Post is charged with regulating the country's radio frequency spectrum activities such as planning, allocations, and licencing.
