Overview

Aruba is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the southern Caribbean Sea, located about 1,600 kilometres west of the main part of the Lesser Antilles and 29 kilometres north of the coast of Venezuela.

Aruba is not a member of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) however falls under management of the Netherlands who are. Aruba voluntarily follows radio frequency harmonisation principles according to ITU-R Region-2. The regulatory body governing communications policy is the Radiocommunication Agency Netherlands, and the Directie Telecommunicatiezaken is charged with regulating the country's radio frequency spectrum activities such as planning, allocations, and licencing.
