Standards Prefix
Founded in 1906, the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) is the world’s leading organisation for the preparation and publication of International Standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies. These are known collectively as “electrotechnology”.
IEC provides a platform to companies, industries and governments for meeting, discussing and developing the International Standards they require. The body coordinates the work of thousands of experts who represent their national stakeholders in the IEC. These experts develop the many technical documents that define testing, interoperability, safety and other essential requirements which are needed by industry and support the growth and advancement of economies.
Applicable Standards
Name | Document Title | Overview |
---|---|---|
IEC 61169-24 | IEC 61169-24:2009 | Radio-frequency connectors - Part 24: Sectional specification - Radio frequency coaxial connectors with screw coupling, typically for use in 75 Ω cable networks (type F) |
IEC 61169-29 | IEC 61169-29:2005 | Radio-frequency connectors - Part 29: Sectional specification - Miniature radio frequency coaxial connectors model screw, snap-on, push-pull or quick-lock, slide-in (rack and panel applications) - Characteristic impedance 50 Ω (type 1,0/2,3) - 50 Ω and 75 Ω applications. |
IEC 61169-33 | IEC 61169-33:1996 | Radio-frequency connectors - Part 33: Sectional Specification (SS) for Type BMA R.F. connectors Provides information and rules for the preparation of detail specifications for series BMA r.f. connectors together with the pro forma blank detail specification (BDS). Prescribes mating face dimensions for general purpose connectors, dimensional details of standard test connectors grade 0, gauging information and tests selected from QC 220000 (IEC 61169-1) applicable to all detail specifications relating to series BMA connectors. |
IEC 61169-36 | IEC 61169-36:1996 | Radio-frequency connectors - Part 36: Microminiature r.f. connectors with snap-on coupling - Characteristic impedance 50 Ohms (Type MCX) This part of IEC 1169 concerns microminiature coaxial connectors for use with flexible and semi-rigid r.f. cables (96 IEC 50-1-... and 96 IEC 50-2-...). These connectors have a snap-on coupling mechanism, 50 Ω impedance, an operating frequency range of 3 GHz and are known commercially as MCX connectors. |
IEC 61169-4 | IEC 61169-4:2008 | Radio-frequency connectors - Part 4: RF coaxial connectors with inner diameter of outer conductor 16 mm (0,63 in) with screw lock - Characteristic impedance 50 Ω (type 7-16) |
IEC 61169-52 | IEC 61169-52:2015 | Radio-Frequency Connectors - Part 52: Sectional Specification For Series MMCX Rf Coaxial Connectors |
IEC 61169-54 | IEC 61169-54:2016 | Radio frequency connectors - Part 54: Sectional specification for coaxial connectors with 10 mm inner diameter of outer conductor, nominal characteristic impedance 50 Ohms, Series 4.3-10 |
IEC 61169-8 | IEC 61169-8:2007 | Radio-frequency connectors - Part 8: Sectional specification - RF coaxial connectors with inner diameter of outer conductor 6,5 mm (0,256 in) with bayonet lock - Characteristic impedance 50 Ω (type BNC) |
