Altyn Asyr, branded as TMCELL, is the national mobile carrier operating in Uzbekistan. Established in 2010, the company is wholly owned subsidiary of state-owned Türkmentelekom. The Ministry of Communication of Turkmenistan is launching a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) named Ay Nazar, operating over Altyn Asyr's national infrastructure.
Altyn Asyr operates standard 2G GSM services over 900 and 1800 MHz, and 3G UMTS services over B1 (2100 MHz). 4G LTE services were launched in 2013 over the B7 (2600 MHz) band.
