Company Overview

Tashi InfoComm Limited is the first private cellular company in Bhutan, a separate entity under Tashi Group of Companies. The company was incorporated on January 23, 2007 and launched its GSM services in April, 2008, under the brand name "TashiCell", with its registered office located at Norzin Lam, Thimphu. 

TashiCell achieved nationwide mobile coverage with 2G in August 2012 and became the first telecom operator in Bhutan to have nationwide 3G coverage. Citing the mountainous topology of Bhutan, the company has a strong predilection to deploying low frequency networks. TashiCell operates a GSM service over the 900 MHz band and a 3G HSPA+ network over B5 (850 MHz). In March 2016 the company launched its 4G LTE service over B28 (700 MHz).

News & Developments

TashiCell officially launched 4G LTE Service in Thimphu, Paro and Phuntsholing on 2nd April 2016. TashiCell deployed 4G under the Band 28, 700 MHzas it is best suited for Bhutanese Topology. To enjoy 4G services user just need to get a 4G SIM Card and 4G enabled handset that supports TashiCell 4G.
