Overview

Wallis and Futuna, officially the Territory of the Wallis and Futuna Islands, is a French island collectivity in the South Pacific. The territory is made up of three main islands along with a number of tiny islets, and is split into two island groups that lie about 260 km apart, namely the Wallis Islands in the northeast, and the Hoorn Islands in the southwest, including Futuna Island and the mostly uninhabited Alofi Island.

As a collectivity of France Wallis & Futuna is not a member of the ITU. However under French jurisdiction, the territory follows radio frequency harmonisation principles according to ITU-R Region-3. The regulatory body governing communications policy is the French Autorité de Régulation des Communications électroniques et des Postes (ARCEP), and the French Agence Nationale des Fréquences (ANFR) is charged with regulating the territory's radio frequency spectrum activities such as planning, allocations, and licencing.
