Vodafone Zambia is a mobile broadband operator in Zambia. The company began operating in 2016 following the establishment of a Partner Market agreement by Afrimax and Vodafone Group.
While the company does not hold 2G or 3G mobile voice network licences, Vodafone Zambia has operated a 4G LTE-A network over the B40 (2300 MHz) band since June 2016. The company received a license from ZICTA in March 2018 to deploy VoLTE voice services which it began rolling out mid 2018. The company worked with US-based Airspan Networks to deploy LTE-A and WiFi HetNet technology.
