Company Overview
Partner (פרטנר) is the second largest mobile network operating servicing Israel. The company was incorporated in September 2007 and began operations in 1999 as Orange Israel which Partner Communications Company Ltd used under licence until a rebranding in 2016. The company had a successful IPO just 11 months after commercial launch with shares listed under the symbol PTNR on the NASDAQ exchange. Today the company is primarily free-float, with the controlling stake held by Scailex Corporation, and a major stake held by S.B. Israel Telecom Ltd.
The company provides 2G GSM services over the 900 and 1800 MHz band, and launched 3G UMTS over B1 (2100 MHz) in March 2006 and later deploying B8 (900 MHz). DC-HSPA+ was launched on both bands in 2012. Partner commercially launched 4G LTE in July 2014 following the refarming of 2x5 MHz of B3 (1800 MHz) spectrum previously used for GSM.
