Silknet (სილქნეტი) is a mixed telecommunications service provider operating in Georgia offering full range of residential and business telecommunications products including IPTV, fixed broadband and telephone services. The company began operating in March 2007, and is operated by the Georgian-owned Silk Road Group. The Silk Road Group is one of the leading private investment groups active in the Caucasus and Central Asian regions with participation in different sectors of the Georgian economy, including transportation, trading, real estate, retail, telecommunications and banking.
In January 2018 Silknet wholly acquired local mobile network operator Geocell after purchasing the company from Telia (Fintur Holdings).
Silknet provides mobile voice services using a CDMA 850 MHz network, and operates a nation-wide B40 (2300 MHz) TDD LTE fixed wireless service.
