[Shenzhen, China, March 7, 2019] Today, Huawei announced that it has filed a complaint in a U.S. federal court that challenges the constitutionality of Section 889 of the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Through this action, Huawei seeks a declaratory judgment that the restrictions targeting Huawei are unconstitutional, and a permanent injunction against these restrictions.

Vodafone will launch 5G in 19 towns and cities across the UK during 2019.

Today we are revealing that customers in 12 more cities will benefit from faster mobile data speeds and an ultra-responsive network when 5G goes live later this year. These additional locations join the seven cities that are already live or switching on soon under our UK-wide trial, which started last year.

The completion of the 5G frequency auction on 7th March 2019 – and the usage rights acquired – equip T-Mobile Austria with the foundation to expand the 5G communications standard throughout Austria. Telia and Nokia will introduce Nokia FastMile 5G gateway for 4G-5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) to the Finnish market. The gateway delivers super-fast mobile broadband to residential and business subscribers.

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has been selected by Etisalat to deploy a 5G radio network in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to help position the UAE at the forefront of 5G network deployment globally.

Today at MWC Barcelona, Sprint (NYSE: S) announced that standards-based 5G is now on-air, with commercial service expected to launch starting in May. Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas and Kansas City are expected to be among the first cities to offer commercial 5G service; with Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Phoenix and Washington D.C. also slated to launch in the first half of 2019.

Telenor Group and Nokia will test 5G capabilities in both the Radio Access Network (RAN) and the mobile core network in Denmark.

Nokia will deploy AirScale base stations for piloting 5G in Telenor Denmark’s commercial radio access network and will also test new functions in the cloud-core network as part of the 5G pilot.

Denmark will soon have its first life test of 5G - this is done with equipment from Nokia on Telenor's and Telia's common mobile network. Both Telenor and Telia have previously tested the mobile technology of the future and with the establishment of the new life test, the two telecom groups will be front runners compared to 5G here in Denmark.

Optus today revealed the first details of its game changing 5G Home Broadband service which is underpinned by a plan to deliver 1,200 5G sites by March 2020.

Magyar Telekom launched its first standard 5G station at the end of January. The station located at downtown Zalaegerszeg uses the 3.7 GHz test spectrum. The test gigabit network operating under real-life conditions runs on a standardized 5G system and uses 5G components ready for commercial launch.

The Ministry of Communication and Information has officially refarmed 800 MHz and 900 MHz radio frequency bands today, Wednesday (01/23/2019). The frequency band is currently used for the purposes of carrying out cellular mobile networks, including PT Telekomunikasi Selular (TELKOMSEL) and PT Indosat, Tbk. (INDOSAT).

Turkcell have stepped up its 5G game through this new collaboration. In a joint effort with Ericsson, Turkcell has achieved Turkey’s first end-to-end, 3GPP-compliant, multivendor 5G data call on 3.5 GHz band.
