SK Telecom (NYSE: SKM) today announced that it expanded the coverage of its LTE-A Pro services – providing up to 700Mbps to 900Mbps speeds – to 75 cities and 31 counties in Korea.

Kuwait, September 11, 2017: Zain Group, the leading mobile telecommunications provider in the Middle East and North Africa, announces that it has successfully tested 5G technology achieving maximum throughput speeds of over 70 Gbps over 2 GHz spectrum.

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) and KDDI, a leading Japanese operator, have agreed to test a 5G proof of concept on the 4.5GHz frequency band in a number of cities across Japan.

Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) has officially launched a 4.5G network, which the company claims is the first of its kind in the country.

The 4.5G network is expected to improve data service provision, including media streaming and messaging services.
