PCTEL Unveils Rhino™ Heavy Duty LTE Multiband Antenna

High Impact Antenna Platform Designed for Heavy Equipment Asset Tracking

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- PCTEL, Inc. (NASDAQ:PCTI), a leader in Performance Critical Telecom solutions, announced today the launch of its heavy duty Rhino™ Dual LTE antenna. This new antenna is designed for tracking heavy equipment assets and fleet management applications. PCTEL's rugged Rhino design provides maximum shock absorption for high impact applications and defends against damage from extreme environmental conditions or exposure to vandalism.

Originally developed for defense applications, the Rhino antenna effectively serves heavy equipment applications, including mining installations, construction equipment, rail and mass transit, and agriculture equipment. It is also ideal for M2M fixed or mobile applications requiring extra protection against vandalism.

The Rhino antenna features heavy-duty construction, including a fiberglass reinforced polycarbonate housing. Dual LTE elements are configured with added separation to maximize RF efficiency and performance of Global 4G LTE networks. The antenna also features PCTEL's proprietary high rejection GNSS technology that provides precise GNSS timing and tracking accuracy, even in the presence of interference.

PCTEL is demonstrating the Rhino antenna at the Trimble Dimensions User Conference 2016, booth #134, through November 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
