The new service can achieve download speeds of up to 225 Mbps [1], twice as fast as any other service to date.

Today, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM), ZTE, and China Mobile announced that they have successfully achieved the world’s first end-to-end 5G NR Interoperability Data Testing (IoDT) system demonstrating a data connection based on 3GPP R15 standard.

EE, part of BT Group, today demonstrated 2.8Gbps download speeds across an end-to-end 5G test network in its UK mobile lab.

The breakthrough test, carried out in partnership with Huawei, linked the fully virtualised 5G core to the 64x64 Massive MIMO active antenna unit broadcasting 5G New Radio to deliver the ground breaking speeds.
