Etisalat, a top UAE-based telecom provider decided to launch NB-IoT and LTE-M technologies. Etisalat will be the first operator in the Mena region to offer these new technologies. These two technologies enabling variety of solutions and services. Etisalat to Launch Narrowband Internet of Things and Long Term Evolution for machines
NB-IoT (Narrowband Internet of Things) and LTE-M (Long Term Evolution for machines) technologies are 3GPP based standardised technologies. These technologies also enable battery life of more than 10 years for a wide range of devices.
Saeed Al Zarouni, senior vice president, Mobile Network, Etisalat said:

Furthermore, the IoT device testing directed with Huawei, Qualcomm and Quectel. With IoT devices connected to Etisalat IoT platform, end-to-end testing achieved.
