Company Overview
Vini is a French Polynesian government-owned mobile operator, a subsidiary of the Office des Postes et Télécommunications (OPT). During 2013 OPT merged its three subsidiaries, Tikiphone, Mana, and TNS, together to form the Vini brand.
The Vini network covers 62 islands of French Polynesia (out of 118 islands and about 76 inhabited), or 98% of the population. The company launched its 3G service in December 2009 over B1 (2100 MHz) and B8 (900 MHz), and launched LTE services in 2017 on the B7 (2600 MHz) and B20 (800 MHz) bands in Pape’ete and the surrounding areas, with the network footprint spanning from Arue to Puna’auia.
