Company Overview

Sure is a mobile network operator servicing the Isle of Man. Sure began operations in the Isle of Man in July 2007, becoming the island's second mobile service provider. Sure is part of a group which also includes the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernsey (including Sark, Alderney and Herm), with an operational history dating back to 1896.

In April 2013, the company was acquired by the Batelco Group, a major communications company with direct and indirect investments across 14 jurisdictions including the Middle East and North Africa. As of January 2017, Sure's operations in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man and in the South Atlantic and Diego Garcia started to be managed as one group, headquartered in Guernsey.

The company has provided 2G GSM services since inception in 2007, and 3G UMTS services over B1 (2100 MHz) since December 2010. 4G LTE services were introduced in March 2015 over the B3 (1800 MHz) and B20 (800 MHz) bands.
