Plus Communication Sh.A. is the only locally owned Albanian mobile operator, established on June 26, 2009. It is the 4th mobile operator in Albania by number of subscribers.
Plus was granted its licence to provide 3G services on B1 (2100 MHz) in April 2016. Plus has announced that it intends to shut down its carrier operations on 1 January 2018, following an agreement in October 2017 to sell its frequencies to rival mobile carriers Vodafone Albania and Telekom Albania.
