Orange is the second largest mobile operator in Botswana. The company is a subsidiary of French operator Orange S.A., with partial local ownership of the company.

The company provides 2G services over 900 MHz, and 3G over B1 (2100 MHz). Orange was the first mobile operator to launch 4G LTE services over B3 (1800 MHz) in February 2015 and continued to expand its 4G coverage in 2016, which stood at 30% at the end of the year. Orange covers 55% of the population with its 3G services, and most of the population with mobile services. The company operates a 10 MHz LTE channel permitting peak data rates of 50 to 75 Mbps.
