4G LTE Frequency Bands
Company Overview
nbn (the company) was established on 9 April, 2009 to design, build and operate Australia's new broadband network infrastructure. nbn is a wholly-owned Commonwealth company - a Government Business Enterprise.
To extend service to rural customers outside the footprint of fibre optic or HFC connectivity, nbn operate a B40 (TDD 2300 MHz) 'fixed wireless' LTE service. This service is deployed in the same manner as a conventional 4G LTE mobile network, with the exception of its customer premises equipment ODU consisting of a roof mounted high gain patch antenna (typically 13 or 16 dBi) and integrated modem. The company is currently increasing capacity and peak data rates by rolling out B42 (TDD 3500 MHz) LTE-A for carrier aggregation with its existing B40 network.
