Company Overview

JV "A-Mobile" (СП ООО «А-Мобайл») began operations in 2006 breaking the monopoly local operator Aquafon held on the region. The company is headquartered in Sukhumi, in the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia.

In addition to conventional 2G GSM services over the 900 and 1800 MHz bands, A-Mobile introduced mobile broadband services over 3G in July 2010 over the B1 (2100 MHz) band. The company later switched on its 4G LTE service in June 2014 over B20 (800 MHz).
