Company Overview

MegaFon is the third largest mobile carrier operating in Tajikistan. The company began operations in December 2001 then as TT Mobile, a joint venture between Russian-owned MegaFon and local shareholder Tajiktelecom. The network was rebranded to MegaFon in 2007.

MegaFon Tajikistan operates standard 2G GSM services over 900 and 1800 MHz, and launched 3G UMTS services in 2005. 4G LTE has been launched over B20 (800 MHz), initially piloted in the cities of Dushanbe and Khujand in 2014 and has been expanded outwards progressively.
