MCI (شرکت ارتباطات سیار ایران) is the oldest and largest mobile carrier operating in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The company is a subsidiary of incumbent telecommunications operator TCI (شرکت مخابرات ایران), with a history of providing mobile services dating back to 1994. The company is partially listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange (approximately 10%), with the remaining share owned by TCI.
The company provides 2G GSM services over 900 and 1800 MHz, and 3G UMTS services over B1 (2100 MHz) and B8 (900 MHz). MCI launched mobile broadband services in 2015 under the brand Notrino, providing 4G and "4.5G" over B3 (1800 MHz) and B7 (2600 MHz).
