HOT Mobile is a telecommunications company based in Israel. The company was established on 18 August 2003, resulting from the merger of the three national cable companies in Israel: Matav, Tevel, and Golden Channels. This union was formed in response to the growing competition from local satellite television provider, Yes. In November 2004, HOT Telecom expanded its services to include domestic fixed line telephone services to residential and business subscribers. In 2009, businessman Patrick Drahi increased his stake in the company, and by 2011, he completed the takeover. Consequently, HOT Mobile is currently a part of Drahi's company, Altice Europe NV, as of 2018.
