Golan Telecom (גולן טלקום) is a mobile network operator servicing Israel and its territories. The company was formed in 2010 by Michael Golan and quickly secured operating licenses for GSM and 3G networks, and becoming operational late 2011. The company was acquired by Electra Consumer Products in April 2017, a subsidiary of Israeli industrial group Elco Holdings Ltd.
The company provides 2G GSM services over the 1800 MHz band, and 3G UMTS (DC-HSPA+) over B1 (2100 MHz). Following an Israeli spectrum auction in January 2015, Golan Telecom secured 5 MHz paired spectrum in the 1800 MHz band, and quickly went on to deploy a B3 (1800 MHz) 4G LTE network. Various domestic roaming partnerships are in place to extend Golan Telecom's coverage.
