3G UMTS Frequency Bands
Glo Ghana is a mobile network operator and telecommunications provider servicing Ghana. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nigerian Globacom Group who operate the UK-Ghana GLO1 submarine cable. Despite its founding in 2008 the company did not begin operations until May 2012.
The company has provided 2G GSM services over the 900 and 1800 MHz bands, and 3G UMTS over B1 (2100 MHz) with HSPA+ data since commencing operations. No 4G LTE services have been deployed.
