Company Overview
GCI is a mobile network operator providing wireless telecommunications services in Alaska. The network was formerly operated by Alaska Communications until its acquisition by General Communication Inc. in December 2014.
GCI 5G
Controlling 210 MHz of spectrum across Alaska, GCI announced it had teamed up with Ericsson in June 2019 to begin deployment of 5G services. GCI's 5G network is expected to use its 600, 700, and 850 MHz low-band assets.
