dtac, formally known as Total Access Communication Public Company Limited, is a telecommunications company based in Thailand. Founded in August 1989, dtac has grown to become one of the largest mobile operators in the country. The company is owned by Telenor Group, a Norwegian multinational telecommunications company, which holds a majority share. Telenor's involvement in dtac began in 2001, and it has since increased its stake to over 65%. The remaining shares are publicly traded on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

3G Network

The company has provided 3G over B1 (2100 MHz) since August 2011. In 2012, dtac Trinet, a subsidiary of the Company, obtained the spectrum license for mobile telecommunications in the Frequency Band 2.1 GHz from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) and provided service on 2.1GHz in 2013. This was later refarmed to 4G on May 10 2014. All 3G networks ceased operation in December 2021, excepting the dtac TriNet network which will shutter December 2025.

    4G Network

    dtac later refarmed 1800 MHz to deploy 4G LTE in October 2015. In July 2018 dtac entered into an arrangement with Telecommunications of Thailand (TOT) to use its 60 MHz of 2300 MHz spectrum in order to implement it's TURBO service. The service provided 4x4 MIMO with 3C aggregation using Nokia's AirScale platform, later aggregating with the company's lower band carriers.

    The company began implementing B28 700 MHz 4G in December 2020 using its 2x10 MHz spectrum acquired from the regulator in June 2019.

      5G Network

      During 2021 the company began jointly deploying 5G n28 using its 700 MHz spectrum via DSS Spectrum Sharing in partnership with Ericsson. The network was made available commercially in November 2021.
