Company Overview

Digita is a wireless network operator providing broadcast and IoT services in Finland. The company was founded in 1998 as a subsidiary of French TDF S.A.S., and acquired in 2012 by Australian firm First State Investments. Digital Colony, a joint venture between Digital Bridge Holdings and Colony NorthStar, acquired the company from First State Investments in April 2018.

Digita launched a 450 MHz Flash-OFDM network in 2007, covering 98% of the Finnish population with wireless broadband until its sale to Datame Oy in 2011.

The company launched a LPWA IoT network using the LoRa standard in September 2016 by deploying Actility ThingPark Wireless. The Digita LoRa network uses the 868 MHz ISM band.
