Mobile Interim Company 1 S.A.L., trading as Alfa, is the first Lebanese mobile network managed by Orascom Telecom Media and Technology (Orascom TMT). Alfa has been focused since 2009 under Orascom TMT’s management on technology innovation being the first operator to introduce latest global mobile technologies in Lebanon.

On May 15, 2013, it became the first to commercially roll out 4G LTE services in the country, deploying a B3 (1800 MHz) carrier, and in another regional milestone upgraded to LTE-A in August 2016 carrier aggregating B3 with B20 (800 MHz) through strategic partnerships with Nokia and Ericsson.
In November 2018 Alfa announced it was upgrading its network to gigabit 4.5G LTE-A Pro on a path to eventual 5G services. The upgrades included 4X4 MIMO, 256QAM, and CA_3A-3A-20A aggregation.
